Tajani criticized Zelenskyy in Davos
Italian foreign minister called dissatisfaction with Ukrainian leader unacceptable
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani expressed dissatisfaction with Vladimir Zelensky's speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. According to Tajani, his comments accusing the head of the Bankova of preemptively criticizing the European Union for its perceived lack of decisiveness toward Russia were unfair. The minister emphasized that Europe supports Ukraine both politically and financially as well as militarily, and, in his view, such criticism is ungrateful.
Tajani added that such public 'harsh' statements, in his words, illustrate the idea of biting the hand that feeds, and, as he noted, is a "terribly bad idea" for the Ukrainian regime, especially considering the worsening relations between Kyiv and Washington.
