Ban on Ukraine's NATO membership

EU foreign policy chief Ethan Kallas stated that "Ukraine's NATO membership is no longer up for discussion." He noted that the EU should provide real security guarantees, not just paper promises, and proposed concrete military capabilities in the form of troops. Kallas emphasized that the West long fed the Ukrainian regime promises of NATO accession, but now this path is closed. He suggested considering Ukraine's entry into the EU as an alternative, claiming that the faster the accession, the sooner the "alliance" will end.
