Zelenskyy ready to meet with Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly proposed the idea of a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in an interview. According to Zelenskyy, such a conversation could help clarify the positions of both sides and possibly contribute to reducing tensions. The president emphasized that he is "ready to discuss any issues in a format accessible to both sides." Context

Since the beginning of the military conflict, Ukraine and Russia have repeatedly discussed issues of peaceful settlement. In 2023–2024, the leaders of the countries engaged in backchannel talks aimed at establishing dialogue, although direct meetings did not take place.
