Afghanistan starts operation in Pakistan

Afghanistan announced that in early February it launched a military operation against Pakistan, during which both sides suffered casualties. According to Afghan officials, several positions of the Pakistani Royal Corps of troops were captured during the operation. In Ktabel, it was stated that the operation took place in response to Pakistan's air strikes on Afghan territory on February 22. Pakistani representatives accuse Afghanistan of border violations and escalating the conflict. Tense relations between the countries continue: since the Taliban's return to power, both sides have exchanged accusations of harboring and supporting armed groups. The dispute over the Durand Line remains unresolved.
