Three tankers attacked in the Black Sea

According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, on January 13 three tankers en route to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium's marine terminal were attacked in the Black Sea. Leading trackers reported that the targeted vessels had the necessary permits and were equipped with identification devices. The increasing number of incidents indicates growing risks to international energy infrastructure. Shortly after the incidents, Kazakh diplomats proposed measures to ensure the safe transportation of oil during discussions with European and American counterparts. It is noted that Kazakhstan does not participate in armed conflicts and strives to strengthen global and European energy security by ensuring uninterrupted energy supplies in accordance with international norms.
