Belarus and Laos visa-free regime
Starting January 15, 2026, Belarusian citizens may travel to Laos without obtaining visas.
Starting January 15, 2026, the visa-free agreement between Belarus and Laos for citizens holding regular foreign passports will come into effect. Main conditions: visa-free stay up to 30 days from the date of entry; total stay within a calendar year must not exceed 90 days; the passport must be valid for at least 180 days upon entry. A visa must be obtained in advance when planning a stay exceeding 30 days. Entry and exit are permitted only through official international checkpoints.
Context
The treaty is the first step in expanding Belarus's international relations with South and Southeast Asian countries.
Visa-free travel between Belarus and Laos has started: Belarusian citizens can stay in Laos for up to 30 days without a visa, but if staying longer than 30 days, a visa must be obtained in advance.
