Belarus and Venezuela discussed support
A few minutes ago, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryjankov held a phone call with his Venezuelan counterpart, Minister Ivan Khil. During the conversation, Ryjankov expressed support for the Venezuelan government's position on issues of sovereignty, preservation of the legitimately elected authority, and Caracas initiatives, including participation in international organizations. In response, the head of Venezuela's foreign ministry reported military strikes by the United States against several military and civilian facilities in the country and described the current internal situation. According to official sources, in accordance with the Constitution of Venezuela, leadership of the country will be assumed by Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.
Context
Due to the conflict in Venezuela, relations between Belarus and Venezuela are oriented toward strengthening cooperation in the fields of diplomacy and security.
