Belarus condemns Venezuela's aggression

In response to the armed aggression launched on January 3, 2026, against sovereign Venezuela, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus officially condemned this action as a direct threat to international peace and security. The Belarusian agency supports the legitimate government of Venezuela and declares unwavering support for its sovereignty, while calling for an urgent convening of the UN Security Council to resolve the conflict.

The Belarusian diplomatic mission in Caracas continues to operate in normal mode, ensuring the safety of its personnel. Monitoring of the situation involving Belarusian citizens is ongoing, but so far there has been no information about extreme incidents involving them.

Belarus emphasized that the right of the Venezuelan people to independently determine their own destiny is inviolable and that any forms of external interference, especially by force, cannot be justified.
