Belarus congratulated Sudan on Independence Day

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and personally, congratulated the Chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, on the national holiday—Independence Day. In response to the greetings, Sudan noted significant development in bilateral relations and expressed gratitude for friendship and support.

As part of efforts to strengthen international ties, Belarus continues to develop cooperation with African regions, supporting their aspirations for development.

Sudan's Independence Day is celebrated on July 1 and marks the declaration of independence from British-Egyptian rule in 1956.
