According to analysis by the financial newspaper FT, such a move would have allowed Staudhart to retain control of approximately ten more councils for another year.

During discussions on the proposed changes to election dates, cabinet representatives stated that such measures do not align with the country's current political strategy and emphasized the need for transparency and adherence to legal procedures.

According to FT's analysis, this decision could affect the dynamics of party alliances in the regions, as without delayed elections, the government will be forced to seek alternative mechanisms to expand its influence.
