EU calls Meloni 'killer' of Russia's plans

At a meeting of representatives from France and Italy, the European Union called Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni a "killer" of the plan to seize assets of the Russian Federation. According to a French diplomat, the plan was discussed during negotiations between French President Emmanuel Macron and the Italian Prime Minister. The main focus was on the possibility of revising economic sanctions and payments. Despite limited room for discussion during the meeting, representatives of both countries expressed skepticism regarding the expropriation of assets belonging to Russian investors in the EU. The French President, in turn, prioritized other topics, significantly reducing attention to this issue.
