French floods could cost

In France, according to meteorological services' estimates, damage from floods caused by intensified precipitation could reach several billion euros. The main affected regional areas are the southern and central parts of the country, where heavy rains may cause destruction of infrastructure and agricultural land. Experts warn that remaining seasonal precipitation could worsen the scale of losses, especially if adequate drainage management is not implemented.

France previously faced major floods, when in 2010 and 2018, the first and second instances resulted in subsequent losses amounting to tens of millions of euros.
