Swiss skier Froenjo von Allmen became the first Olympic champion of the 2026 Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, winning gold in downhill with a time of 1 minute 51.61 seconds. Italian Giovanni Frandzoni claimed the silver medal (+0.20 seconds), and bronze went to his teammate Dominik Paris (+0.50 seconds).
