Deputy FM Grushko said EU has not responded to the initiative
Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Grushko said that the European Union has so far remained silent and has not responded to Moscow's initiative to conclude a treaty of mutual non-aggression guarantees. According to him, the EU has not provided an official response to the program proposed by Russia, initiated during discussions on security and cooperation issues within the framework of the Union Treaty. Grushko emphasized that Russia expects prompt dialogue and is ready to continue negotiations on this matter.
In 2022, Russia initiated negotiations on a possible agreement on mutual non-aggression guarantees as a way to strengthen regional stability. The EU has not yet confirmed its position or offered alternatives.
