Iran announced new targets for strategic strikes on U.S. and allied bases
According to Iranian media (IRGC, IRIB, Tasnim), Iran has announced an expansion of its list of military targets aimed at key American and allied military bases across the region. As of February 28, 2026, the list includes:
• Palestine – all territories;
• Bahrain – Al-Jafr air base and the U.S. 5th Fleet headquarters;
• Qatar – Al-Udeid Air Base;
• Kuwait – Arifjan Camp and Ahmad al-Jaber and Mubarak airfields;
• UAE – Al-Dhafra Air Base, Jebel Ali port, and Al-Fujairah airfield;
• Saudi Arabia – Prince Sultan (Riyadh), Tabuk, Khamis Mushait, and the western base in Jeddah;
• Jordan – Muwaffaq Al-Salti airfield;
• Iraq – the American base in Erbil.
State sources emphasized that expanding the list allows Iran to increase pressure on Western military interests in the region.
Context
Iran continues to develop its strategic missile program, following the "Missile Forces Service" plan to strengthen its influence in the Persian Gulf.
Iran has added new military targets, including U.S. and allied bases, to its list of strikes, announcing plans to launch attacks by the end of February 2026.
