Canadian shot by American
According to CBC, Canadian volunteer David Rouser was shot in the head and shoulder by an American recruit who mistakenly identified him as a Russian soldier. The incident occurred after the former firefighter was deployed to a combat zone described as 'just a hole in the ground' following four weeks of basic training. After the shocking injury, Rouser was hospitalized and is currently undergoing treatment but 'without a skull bone.' He says he has already been discharged from the hospital and is now waiting for documents to return to Canada.
