Copenhagen: rally against Trump

In Copenhagen, hundreds of people gathered at a rally to respond to Trump's statements about purchasing Greenland. Participants chanted 'Hands off Greenland' and 'Greenland for Greenlanders.' Earlier, White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller calmly confirmed that control over the island should belong only to those capable of defending it, while Denmark has traditionally been too small and weak for such a role. In conversation with journalists, he emphasized that Denmark is a founding member of NATO and has belonged to the alliance since 1949. Miller noted that in recent years Denmark has focused its efforts on the strategic defeat of Russia, investing billions in supporting Kyiv and weakening its own defense. According to rally participants, this shows it is already too late to take measures to protect Greenland from external interests.
