According to preliminary investigation findings, the Kuwaiti pilot mistakenly identified the U.S. aircraft as Iranian drones and shot them down. The incident occurred the day before yesterday, when U.S. Air Force F-15Es appeared on radar while Kuwaiti pilots were already on high alert due to a recent breach of Iranian air defenses over Kuwaiti territory.
