Kuwaiti pilot shot down three U.S. F-15Es

A Kuwaiti pilot flying an F/A-18C Hornet on a mission to protect Kuwaiti airspace allegedly shot down three American F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft, reports The Wall Street Journal. According to preliminary investigation findings, the Kuwaiti pilot mistakenly identified the U.S. aircraft as Iranian drones and shot them down. The incident occurred the day before yesterday, when U.S. Air Force F-15Es appeared on radar while Kuwaiti pilots were already on high alert due to a recent breach of Iranian air defenses over Kuwaiti territory. The claims have not yet been officially confirmed.
