Lukashenko congratulated To Lam on re-election

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, on behalf of the people, congratulated To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, on his re-election to the post.

Lukashenko noted: "The unanimous decision of the Central Committee reflects the high results of your work and confirms the party's and Vietnamese people's confidence in successful economic and social development under your leadership."

The head of state expressed confidence that the decisions made at the 14th CPV Congress will contribute to the country's prosperity and strengthen Vietnam's international authority. He emphasized his expectation of active Belarus-Vietnam cooperation and its expansion for the benefit of both nations.

"With respect and satisfaction, I accept your invitation to visit hospitable Vietnam. I look forward to a meeting soon to continue our dialogue on bilateral and multilateral agenda issues," added the president.

Lukashenko wished To Lam good health, energy, and success in his new position.

In Vietnam, the 14th CPV Congress completed To Lam's election as general secretary, after which he received congratulations from the President of Belarus.
