Lukashenko signs decree to cancel Togo visas
On March 2, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree confirming the status of the agreement project between the governments of Belarus and the Togolese Republic on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports. Under the document, citizens of Belarus and Togo holding such passports are exempt from the requirement to obtain visas for entry, exit, and transit, provided that the stay on the territory of the host party does not exceed 30 days from the date of entry and the total number of days in a calendar year does not exceed 90. The implementation of the agreement is seen as another step in developing and strengthening friendly relations between the two countries. By order of the State Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is authorized to conduct negotiations on the draft treaty and its signing.
Context
The agreement provides for the simplification of the visa regime for official representatives, promoting the strengthening of bilateral relations.
The President of Belarus signed a decree abolishing visas for diplomatic and service passports within the agreement with the Togolese Republic.
