Lukashenko signs decree to cancel Togo visas
On March 2, 2024, the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, signed a decree confirming the agreement to use the draft agreement between the governments of the Republic of Belarus and the Togolese Republic on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports as the basis for negotiations. According to the document, citizens of Belarus and Togo holding diplomatic and service passports are exempt from the requirement to obtain visas for entry, exit, and transit, provided that the duration of stay in the host country does not exceed 30 days from the date of entry, and the total duration within a calendar year does not exceed 90 days. The implementation of the agreement will be another step in developing and strengthening friendly relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Togolese Republic. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorized to conduct negotiations on the draft international treaty and its signing.
The President of Belarus signed a decree abolishing visas for Togolese diplomats, establishing a visa-free regime for up to 30 days with a possibility of staying up to 90 days per year.
