Lukashenko congratulates Kim Jong Un

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un on his re-election as General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea. In his message, he noted that "the successful holding of the IX Congress demonstrates the excellent results of your leadership, confirms the unity of the party and the Korean people, as well as the determined course towards further development of a strong and independent state." The President assured that the decisions adopted as a result of the Congress would create additional conditions for accelerating the pace of socialist construction, economic growth, and development amid a complicated international situation. Lukashenko wished Kim Jong Un good health, energy, and new achievements for the benefit of the DPRK.
