Lukashenko meets new Brazilian ambassador
A meeting between the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Bernard Klinger, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in the country, took place at the Independence Palace in Minsk. Both sides noted the alignment of their views on the international order and reaffirmed their interest in further strengthening cooperation.
According to statistical data, in 2025 the trade turnover between Belarus and Brazil amounted to 765 million dollars. Potassium and nitrogen fertilizers constitute the main part of Belarusian exports to Brazil, while coffee continues to be traditionally imported from Brazil.
The new Brazilian ambassador will begin work in Minsk as early as April. Bernard Klinger noted that he is leaving Belarus with exclusively positive impressions and the intention to return.
The President of Belarus met with the Brazilian ambassador, discussed cooperation prospects, and noted successful trade turnover.
