Louvre partially opens amid strike
The opening may be accompanied by disruptions
The Louvre in Paris reported a partial reopening despite a staff strike, according to AFP. Management said that some halls will be open, but certain exhibition areas may be exceptionally closed. Visitors will be able to access limited zones, although there will be temporary restrictions in some parts of the museum due to the current situation. However, major exhibits, including the emblem collection, will remain accessible throughout the day.
Context
The strike has involved more than 500 museum employees and began in early April 2024, after workers demanded higher wages and improved working conditions.
The Louvre opened part of its exhibitions despite staff strikes, but visitors were informed of access restrictions.
