Iran's MFA criticizes US, Israel aggression

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in an official statement, accused the United States and Israel of carrying out a sudden military strike against Iran in the early morning hours before Nowruz and during the holy month of Ramadan. According to the Foreign Ministry, the attack violated the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, with strikes recorded against military, defense, and civilian facilities in several cities. The head of foreign policy emphasized that Iran was engaged in diplomatic negotiations with the international community at the time, declaring any pretexts for aggression illegal. The Department noted that Iran's armed forces are "fully prepared" to respond within the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, and called on the UN and the Security Council to take immediate measures to halt breaches of peace. The statement concluded with an appeal to countries worldwide, especially members of the Non-Aligned Movement, to collectively condemn and stop the aggression.
