Netherlands detects chemical excess in water
In the Netherlands, elevated concentrations of certain chemical substances in surface waters used for drinking water production have been detected. Official representatives of water quality control agencies reported that exceedances were recorded in several bodies of water across the country. Among the detected substances were traces of metallurgical products, pesticides, and industrial solvents. In response to the identified violations, authorities announced plans to conduct additional inspections and introduce stricter control standards.
