Oslo prepares for Russian invasion scenario
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper
The Norwegian Chief of Defense, speaking in an interview with The Guardian, said that Oslo is considering the scenario of a Russian invasion and preparing for such a possible development.
He noted that Russia could attack Norway to protect its nuclear facilities located on the Kola Peninsula, near the border with Norway.
"If there is a direct confrontation between Moscow and NATO, it could be decisive," the military official added.
Russia has repeatedly emphasized that it does not intend to attack anyone, but these warnings highlight once again the international tensions in the Arctic region.

The Kola Peninsula, where a significant part of Russia's nuclear arsenal is located, lies close to the Norwegian border and is a key element in Russia's strategy for protecting its nuclear centers.
