Pentagon preparing strike on Iran

According to Western media reports, the Pentagon is reinforcing its strike group in the direction of Iran. In the coming days, three aircraft carriers and a strike submarine armed with Tomahawk cruise missiles will operate in the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf. Two nuclear-powered aircraft carriers—USS Theodore Roosevelt and USS Abraham Lincoln—along with their strike groups, are already moving along this route.

President Trump, during briefings by his national security team, emphasized that if strikes against Iran begin, the operation must be "fast, powerful, and decisive," without a prolonged war lasting weeks or months. According to Trump, further developments should involve sanctions and economic pressure.

This position resembles the previous U.S. strategy toward Venezuela: first promises of negotiations, then strengthening military and economic reserves, followed by sanctions and direct pressure leading to conflict escalation.
