Shooting off Cuba's coast: 4 dead

Off the coast of Cuba, a confrontation occurred between Cuban border guards and a vessel flying the U.S. flag. According to reports from the Latin American Ministry of Internal Affairs, the boat violated the border and opened fire first on the border guards, injuring one officer. In the retaliatory shot, four people on board the vessel were killed, and another six were wounded and are currently in Cuban medical facilities.

The republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that all detained individuals are Cubans residing in the United States. The detainees admitted terrorist intentions, and rifles, pistols, explosive devices, optical sights, and camouflage gear were seized from them.

Cuba's Prime Minister Ricardo Rubio strongly denied the involvement of the U.S. administration in the incident. The country's Secretary of State demanded an urgent investigation.
