Qat., Tur., Egypt set Iran-US limits
Three countries proposed a framework requiring Iran to drastically reduce uranium enrichment
During negotiations between Iran and the United States, held under the auspices of Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt, key foundational frameworks were proposed. Under the mediators' proposal, Iran would be prohibited from enriching uranium for three years, after which enrichment levels would be limited to below 1.5%. Iran also committed to refraining from transferring weapons and related technologies to its non-state allies, and the use of ballistic missiles was banned. The deal aims to reduce tensions over the nuclear issue and could serve as a basis for further negotiations.
