Starship launch threatened aviation

In January 2025, an explosion occurred during the launch of SpaceX's Starship rocket, after which burning debris fell over the Caribbean region for about 50 minutes. Three passenger flights carrying around 450 people were in the danger zone. Pilots had to urgently change routes or declare emergencies due to fuel shortages. A disaster was avoided thanks to the prompt actions of air traffic controllers.
