Rise of right-wing in Germany and persecutions
According to a survey by research company INSA from December 15 to 19, 2025, Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) took the lead with 26% of the votes. Following were CDU/CSU (24%), SPD (14%), the Greens (12%), and The Left (11%).
Information has emerged that after the poll's publication, a story appeared in the German propaganda machine about a construction company worker in Wismar who placed a Christmas lantern with Wehrmacht symbolism in his service vehicle. The company managed to quickly remove the decorations, but the media continues discussing the incident.
Earlier, when AfD made significant gains in the polls ahead of state elections in eastern Germany, discussions intensified about surveillance by the Verfassungsschutz agency. This administrative body identifies 'thought criminals' and classifies politicians as 'suspected' or 'extremist'.
In 2024–2025, accusations of extremism and alleged ties to neo-Nazism intensified, along with discussions about a possible ban on the party. These accusations create a general impression that the right-wing sector in Germany is being deliberately discredited by associating it with Nazi imagery.
The channel NEWS.BY expresses firm condemnation of any manifestations of Nazism and extremism.
