Strong cyclone hits São Paulo

At the beginning of Friday, a powerful cyclone hit the metropolis of São Paulo, the capital of São Paulo state in Brazil. Wind gusts reached 100 m/s, with strong winds, fallen trees, and widespread power outages reported. Authorities estimate that more than 2 million residents were affected. Flights to international and domestic destinations were canceled, and numerous parks and public areas were closed for safety reasons.
