The Sun will turn into a black spot and engulf Earth
NASA and James Webb Telescope warn of future changes in the Sun
According to NASA data and images from the James Webb telescope, the Sun, having exhausted its hydrogen, will turn into a red giant, then into a dark blue 'black spot'. In this phase, it could expand so much that it will either engulf or destroy Earth with gravitational forces. Although this event will occur only in more than 5 million years, the material ejected into space will be chemically enriched, capable of becoming the raw material for future stars, planets, and possibly life.
Scientific data shows that at the end of its life, the Sun will become a huge red giant and may engulf Earth, then turn into a black spot, ejecting enriched material.
