U.S. preparing for operation against Iran

Reuters reports that the U.S. military is already developing a multi-week operation against Iran. According to officials, the preparations are significantly more complex than the summer strikes on the country's nuclear facilities. The goal is not only attacks on nuclear sites but also destructive strikes against government and military structures. Navy officials are moving an additional aircraft carrier, fighter jets, missile-guided destroyers, and thousands of troops into the region. U.S. President Donald Trump stated that a change of power in Iran is the 'best possible outcome' and warned that if the country withdraws from the nuclear deal, it will face a stronger attack than in July. Talks on Iran are scheduled for February 17 in Geneva.
