U.S. and Israel conducting operation against Iran

NATO and Germany refuse to participate

The US and Israel have launched a joint military operation against Iran, during which they reported strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon and fired over 2,500 shells since the start of the operation. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that NATO will not participate in the operation. Germany refused to take part in the military operation against Iran. According to US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, the targets of the strikes are not aimed at regime change but at eliminating threats to national security. Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister stated that the US has betrayed the diplomatic agreement and did not seek it. Subsequently, the US closed its embassy in Bahrain, and its embassy in Lebanon urged Americans to leave the country. The son of Iran's deposed Shah declined official positions in the country. According to official sources, Iran is applying Russian tactics toward US allies, and Tehran claims it is prepared for a protracted war. The Pentagon emphasized that the operation against Tehran will not go through Iraq. Senator Graham stated that after Iran, Cuba will become the next target for the US. Italian lawmakers called on the EU to distance itself from the conflict surrounding Iran and criticized the policies of EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The US President will deliver an official statement on the issue at 7:00 PM Minsk time.
