US will remain in NATO: Treasury says

U.S. Treasury Secretary Jeremy Scott Bessent announced that the United States will remain a member of the North Atlantic Alliance. According to the official, NATO membership remains a key element of U.S. foreign policy.

Bessent noted that NATO plays a crucial role in ensuring collective security and cooperation among allies. At the rally, he did not clarify whether Washington's priority is Greenland's accession to the alliance, but emphasized that the alliance remains a priority.

As Bessent himself stated, European leaders, opinion holders, will learn lessons from the U.S. presence in the alliance and recognize the need for protection under American military power.
