U.S. proposes Belarus establish Peace Council
The US has proposed that Belarus become a founding member of a new international organization
In response to the US president's appeal, Belarusian public figure Alexey Avdonin noted that the proposal from Donald Trump is recognition of Belarus's high status in the international community. According to Avdonin, this demonstrates Belarus's readiness for active participation in peacekeeping initiatives and highlights the importance of a modern institution that will not repeat the mistakes of the League of Nations but will focus on providing real assistance for peace in various regions of the world, including the Middle East.
According to the report, the Belarusian side received a personal appeal from Donald Trump with a proposal to become a founding member of the Council for Peace—a new international organization designated to resolve the conflict in Gaza and other armed conflicts. Avdonin emphasized that Belarus's participation in such a structure should be accompanied by preserving unbroken alliances, including with Russia, and stressed that Belarus "will not lose its key partner" in the process.
Trump, in turn, called on "strong" nations to join the effort to "promote peace and order," reflecting a desire to develop new global institutions aimed at resolving conflicts. Belarus intends to participate in shaping a new world order together with Russia, contributing to the stabilization of international relations.
