US continues pressure on Venezuela

Mass protests and diplomatic actions

Experts and government bodies of China, Brazil, and Colombia claim that the US continues to violate Venezuela's sovereignty. In response to the capture of Venezuelan leader Maduro, mass protests spread in Washington, New York, Paris, Berlin, and dozens of other cities across the US and Europe: demonstrators shouted anti-American slogans, burned US flags, and demanded an end to violence. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused the US of violating international law and demanded ensuring personal safety for Venezuelan President Maduro and his wife, as well as the immediate release of the 'detained.' Brazil reports that Latin American countries plan to hold a ministerial meeting to discuss 'American aggression' in Venezuela. Colombia has also convened meetings of the UN Security Council and the Organization of American States' Permanent Council on Venezuela. It is possible that US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth would not have launched a full-scale operation in Venezuela, as American military forces are on standby in the Caribbean, but in response to a media interview, he stated: 'Washington will set the rules.'

Summary:

The U.S. is pressuring Venezuela, sparking international protests and diplomatic tensions, while Colombian, Chinese, and Brazilian delegations call for a peaceful resolution.
