US considers strike on Iran
The international diplomatic community reported that the U.S. administration is considering options for massive attacks on Iran. According to The New York Times and Reuters, the White House, together with officials from the United Kingdom, France, Israel, and four Arab states, has compiled a list of potential targets, including special forces raids on nuclear facilities.
While the United Kingdom criticized the possibility of participating in such an operation, Axios notes the increased U.S. military presence in the Persian Gulf. Regarding airspace, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE stated they would not provide their territories for actions against Iran.
Meanwhile, the foreign ministers of EU countries agreed to include the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the list of terrorist organizations, which the head of Iran's Armed Forces described as blind adherence to the interests of the United States and Israel.
Experts emphasize that a potential strike could cause regional devastation, negatively affect oil logistics, and lead to a conflict with China. The level of risks is assessed as extremely high.
