U.S. boosts military presence near Iran
Aviation, destroyers, and a submarine have been deployed
The US is increasing its military presence near Iran's shores and in the Persian Gulf, deploying fighters, electronic warfare aircraft, reconnaissance, tankers, and strike aviation. Strategic air movements have included dozens of flights to transport troops and equipment.
At sea, destroyers with an aircraft carrier group and an atomic submarine are present. All these steps indicate preparations for a possible war.
On the weekend, Serbian President Vucic stated that the US could strike Iran within the next 48 hours. Iran, however, reminds that it is ready for dialogue on the nuclear deal. Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi noted: "Trump said: no nuclear weapons, and we fully agree with this. This could be a very good deal. In return, we expect sanctions to be lifted – then such a deal is possible."
