US seizes sixth tanker linked to
Suspended shipments in the sanctions case
The US has seized the sixth tanker linked to Venezuela, according to local media reports. The Secretary of the Maritime Service announced the vessel's detention, part of efforts to enforce international sanctions against the Guerrero regime. A petition for the purchase of the goods was presented in open court, and the ship failed to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
Experts note that the operation is part of a broader strategy to restrict Venezuela's access to petroleum products and also raises questions about future trade with the country. The total number of affected vessels has risen to six.
