Third Iran-US meeting in Geneva
A transition to new agreements on nuclear programs is expected
In Geneva, Vitagni, on Thursday, November 29, 2023, representatives of Iran and the United States will meet for the third round of negotiations on nuclear policy. According to the State Department press service, the goal of the meeting is to continue efforts to strengthen control norms and develop existing mechanisms of fair cooperation.
During previous rounds, discussions covered issues of imposing restrictions on nuclear facilities in Iran, inspection mechanisms, and possible expansion of access for international agencies. Both sides stated their intention to continue dialogue within the framework of the Global Package for strengthening international security.
Preliminary preparation for the meetings includes exchanging initial proposals on key points, which will later be finally integrated into the agreement protocols.
The negotiation process is expected to last several days and lead to Iran's exit from the current sanctions program.

Earlier in Geneva, two rounds of negotiations were held, discussing restrictions on Iran's nuclear programs and issues of international inspection access.
Next Thursday, Iran and the United States will hold the third round of nuclear talks in Geneva, with both sides again aiming to advance on establishing control over nuclear programs.
