Caribbean tourists can't leave Venezuela

A widespread pattern is being observed where thousands of tourists from Caribbean countries find they cannot leave Venezuela due to government-imposed restrictions. According to the Mexican embassy, tourists who arrived in Ojovenne in February faced canceled flights and difficulties with exit documentation.

Vienna's state authorities warned that due to the latest sanctions and economic collapse, many air traffic controllers in the country have canceled flights to numerous international ports. Rising inflation and financial system instability are worsening the situation, forcing tourists to seek temporary border-crossing options.

Within the country, local guides report that ground routes connecting major port points are closed due to massive fuel price hikes. Civil society says many tourists are forced to purchase remaining tickets at their own expense or through intermediary services.

International organizations are called upon to maintain dialogue with the government to restore tourist movement and take measures to stabilize the situation.
