US and Israel strikes on Iran continue

According to the Command of Strategic Synthetic Equipment (CSSE), the Strait of Hormuz is closed to ship passage following the attack on Iran. Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Tehran will not give up its right to uranium enrichment. Former President Trump said, however, that congressional approval was not required for strikes against Iran.

After the strike on a school in southern Iran, up to 160 people may have died, most of them children. According to Iranian state television, more than 15 people were killed in a US and Israeli strike on a sports hall in the Iranian city of Lamerd. The Israel Defense Forces announced strikes on missile launchers in Iran.

British air forces are participating in repelling Iranian attacks on Israeli and US targets in the Middle East—Starmer reports. Iranian agency Tasnim confirms the targeting of 14 US military bases, as well as the use of kamikaze drones to initiate attacks.

In Bahrain, several residential buildings were struck, and rescue teams are working at the scene, reports the kingdom's Interior Ministry. Iran used a hypersonic missile 'Fattah' during the conflict, reports international broadcaster IRIB. According to CSSE, Iran will soon unveil a new weapon never seen before.

Since 2019, Iran has faced military tensions with the United States and Israel over uranium enrichment and confrontations in Mesopotamia. The intensity of the conflict escalates with each new strike.
