Charter of the World Peace Council signed in Davos

The signing ceremony of the "Peace Council" charter to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip has begun in Davos, Switzerland. Around 60 countries invited by the United States are participating in the initiative. On January 16, the White House announced the council's composition: it includes U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy of President Donald Trump Steve Witkoff, the U.S. leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and Deputy U.S. National Security Advisor Robert Gabriel.
