A study by industry analytics firm Revelio Labs showed that in 2025 the number of job postings for Santa Claus in the United States decreased by 35%. It highlighted the shift of consumers away from traditional shopping venues such as malls and Christmas markets toward online shopping. According to the company, the growth of e-commerce is reducing demand for live events and, consequently, for positions related to holiday events.
