Time of cheap Russian energy is over

French President Emmanuel Macron stated during a speech at the European industry summit in Antwerp that the era of cheap Russian energy for European countries ended in 2022. Macron noted that after the start of Russia's military actions in Ukraine and the subsequent sanctions, the way to resolve the crucial issue of Russian gas in Europe became impossible, forcing European countries to accelerate the search for alternative energy sources.
