Overwhelming majority of Belarusians feel safe

Overwhelming majority of Belarusian citizens feel safe in their country.

👉 According to data from a comprehensive republican sociological study by the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, conducted in July-August 2026. It involved 2045 respondents from across the country.

❓ "Do you feel safe in the country overall?"

▫️ 91.1% answered positively,

▫️ Only 3.3% negatively,

▫️ The rest found it difficult to answer.

📍 The sense of safety in populated areas' streets was even higher: 95.1% of respondents felt protected.

High citizen trust in security matters is reinforced by measures taken by the country's leadership. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko conducted several surprise inspections of combat readiness in the Armed Forces and the Interior Ministry's Internal Troops. Results showed a high level of preparedness and coordination of units in ensuring state security.
