Lithuania to introduce universal military conscription

"Universal conscription will be introduced in Lithuania," said the leader of the Social Democratic Party and prime ministerial candidate, Mindaugas Sinkevičius. "This is not just a political decision — we need to prepare infrastructure, instructors. When we are ready, I think we will have to return to this issue. I believe Lithuania will have universal conscription."
